Developer Notes:
Please checkout our Youtube Channel where you can find videos going over the latest changes made to the platform.
- The focus of this update is to address a longstanding issue with the platform regarding Search Engine Optimization (SEO).
- Please take a look at each section and email our Support Department with any questions or concerns at support@iescentral.com.
We are continuing to work on issues throughout Cyberschool. Thank you to everyone who has brought their feedback to us so that we can work to make it better.
- The main part of this update is to address the issue of Search Engine's indexing sites improperly.
- This primary happens with sites with multiple school sites as well as sites with multiple domains.
- This phenomenon often happens when a resource/post is linked from one school site to another and a search engine is uncertain how to index the resource.
- A new setting has been added to the Post Editor to allow for setting a resource to be Viewable from all schools - this setting will establish that the resource will cause a 404 when attempting to view it improperly, moreover it will alert Search Engine Crawlers not to index the page unless it is being viewed from the correct school.
- A new setting has been added to the My Explorer to allow for toggling Cross School Access for posts in bulk.
- An update to fix a few small issues with the editing tools of the Navigation Editor.
- Fixed the Up/Down arrows in the Navigation Editor
- Fixed the Show/Hide functions in the Navigation Editor
- Fixed the Cache Clearing of the Navigation Editor upon saving
- Set the Navigation Cache Duration to 30 minutes.
